Welcome to the Club Volleyball Season!

Hello Volleyball Families!!

It is that time of year to start thinking about club volleyball, and hopefully getting questions answered for the upcoming season.

First off, my name is Kirsten (Kirt) Day and I am the new Club Director for North Clackamas Volleyball, however I’m not new to the club. I have been the 14s Black coach for the last 15 years, I have been coaching with NCVBC for 18 years, and overall this will be my 35th year of coaching volleyball.

Volleyball is my passion, and NCVBC is where my heart is.  I live and breathe NCVBC, and take great pride in all of its accomplishments throughout the years.  I love this club, and could not see myself coaching anywhere else.

So, with that, I am excited for this additional new challenge and know that I have big shoes to fill.  Nadia IS and WAS amazing as our Club Director she has given so much of herself, time, energy, sacrificed time away from her family, and the list goes on.   The club is a success on many levels because of her tireless work ethic day after day, and would not possess the positive atmosphere she has set at high standard from the very beginning without her.  I can only hope that my efforts, and the love for this club will match equally to hers. THANK YOU, NADIA FOR BEING A TRUE LEADER AND ONE OF A KIND!

This email is to inform you about NCVBC and what we have available as far as teams and coaches.   Hopefully this will answer many of your questions.

This year we are very happy to say that we will not have to increase club payments!!  It will be the same as last year. Of course, if you add or take away a tournament that will change the overall cost for the year.

Uniforms –

  • In order to keep costs down we try to buy uniforms every other year, or on a 3-year cycle.  This year we will have to buy new black uniforms, and the red uniforms will still be ok. You can re-use your red uniform from the previous year or buy a new one.

This year tryouts for 12s & 14s will be at Clackamas High School on November 4th.   There is a $20.00 Try-out fee.

  • 12s Full-Time teams check-in at 8:30 - Tryouts are from 9am-10am.

  • 12s Part-Time teams check-in at 9:30am – Tryouts are 10am-12pm (may end sooner).

The Part-Time team only practices (1) day a week and has only (1) tournament a month

and the season ends in April.

  • 14s BLACK team ONLY check-in at 12:30pm.  Tryouts are 1pm-2pm

This team is a competitive team, and will travel for two tournaments.  If you do not make

the Black team you will continue with the try-out process that starts at 2pm for the

remaining teams.

  • 14s check-in at 1:15 – Tryouts are 2pm-4:30pm (may go 1/2 hour longer)

We will have Open Gyms for 12s & 14s on Oct 16th & Oct 26th at Happy Valley Middle School.  We will have two identical parent meetings during the clinics on each date.  Parents can hear from us, and have their questions answered.

12s are 6:00-7:00

14s are 7:30-9:00

This year we will again have (2) 16s teams with two new coaches to the club, and between them have 68 years of coaching volleyball experience.  I am very excited about these two coaches, and what they can bring to our 16s program, and for the future.

Tryouts for 16s & 18s will be on Nov 11th at Clackamas High School from 9am-11:30am.

16s/18s check-in time - 8:30am.

Open Gyms for 16s will be Oct 18th & Oct 25th from 6:15pm-7:45 pm at Alder Creek Middle School
