We started pool play off with Parkrose and came out ready and won 25-13.  We served tough, moved to the ball well and kept our offense aggressive. We took the second game 25-20.  We then played SEI and I changed the line-up a bit and we again served well and won both games 25-15/25-15.  Our last pool play match was against Mid-Valley and we came out sluggish, non aggressive and no communication and lost 14-25.  The second game was better Mid Valley did a nice job of keeping the ball in play which made this match tougher than the two before.  We worked together and took the game from them 25-18 but unfortunately they beat us by a larger margin so they finished 1st in the pool and we came in 2nd. 

The first round of bracket play we played Alpine.  We played pretty evenly with them for half of the game. Made some nice offensive plays....again served the ball tough.....but.....our serve receive completely shut down and we could never recover and lost the first game by a 6-7 point margin.  The girls had a tough time bouncing back from that......we had never broken down on serve recieve so badly before and I think it was a shock to them and we were not able to re-gain the focus and drive to push it to a third game.  

Overall, again, we had some nice things happen....great serving....running plays and executing them....we just need to remember positioning depending on where the ball is.....once we do that consistently and realize those rules never change we will be a stronger team.
