Today was a bit of a roller coaster ride in terms of our performance. At times we were amazing and at other times we were on summer vacation. Our best match of the day was against Nafanua Black. We won 25-16, 25-11. Our second match of the day was against PVC Green. We lost the first game 21-25 and won the second 25-21. We played Nafanua Gold in our 3rd match. We barely squeaked out the first game 25-21, but really struggled in game two with our serve receive and lost 16-25. After the lunch break we were matched up against West Valley Black. They were a very strong team, but we competed well in the first game and were tied at 20 but did not finish well and lost 21-25. Our focus was not there in game two as we lost by a fairly big margin. Our final match of the day was against PVC pink. We split this match with them. Again our play was inconsistent. However, I was pleased that the girls did not quit and finished the match strong with a convincing 25-12 victory. Normally our strength is serving and serve receive, but today it was not. I am confident and know that it will return for our final tourney of the year in Reno and these girls will be ready to play.
