The Far Western Tourney is April 23-25 in Reno, Nevada.  We are staying at the Peppermill Resort Casino Reno now because it will save each family around $250 (Thank you Doug Chizum) and you can reserve by calling this number 1-800-733-1137.  It is within walking distance (1 mile actually) from the playing site which is the Reno/Sparks Convention Center.   Plan on arriving sometime on Thursday, April 22nd.  Play will start on Friday.  Here is last years flow chart.  I am assuming that this year will be similar.  Sunday will be the last day of competition.   They said they couldn't say when it is over on Sunday but we could possibly  play into the evening.  It just depends on how the team does.   I would guess on mid afternoon.   Here is the Far Westerns website if you want more information.
