NCVBC 14’s White takes 1st at Power League!
Congratulations to the 14’s White team for moving up 16 places at last weekend’s Power League Tournament in Gresham. The team started out in the 83rd position. They started out strong in the morning pool play beating Clark County Jrs. 14 Silver and North County Wildcats 14 Navy in two games each. The last match of pool play was against MHAC Jrs. 14 Attack. They had beaten us the last two times we had played them. This time it was different. They made the girls work for it, but we beat them in three games. This put us first in our pool.
In the afternoon bracket play they easily beat Mt. Hood 14 Purple in two games. This win put them in the championship match against MHAC again. The championship match went to three games. The girls held on, played hard, and stayed in the game mentally as well as physically which put them in first place for the day.
I’m not sure who was more excited to; the girls or their parents. It was very exciting. The girls worked hard all day and had definitely improved since the last time they had played MHAC. This win moves them up to the 67th position.
